Welcome to this website dedicated to the Traditional and Integrative Astrology

Traditional and Integrative Astrology (TIA) unifies:

  1. Western Traditional Hellenistic astrology and innovation of modernity with a system of 12 planets,
  2. The study of symbols and a scientific approach.

The TIA considers that the fundamental analysis of a natal chart is based on the determination of the planetary dominant and the constitutional temperament which is in a way the structure of the individual without which an analysis can only be superficial or symptomatic. Analyzing a natal chart without the determination of temperament returns to take a metaphor to treat a symptom without taking into account the terrain.

The central point of integrative Astrology lies in the contribution of two new planetary bodies, the dwarf planets Haumea and Makemake. The geocentric Greek tradition uses the 7 visible planets. Modern astrology has added Uranus, Neptune, Pluto which carries the system to 10 planets. Most astrologers know that the system is not complete and does not respect the rules of astrological symbolic. In fact, with the current rulerships, there remain two planets that still have control over two signs (Venus on Libra and Taurus and Mercury on Virgo and Gemini).

There were two planets left to be discovered. For a long time the astrologers have suspected even tempted to find by different means (mathematics, intuitive,…) these two planets and called them Transpluto, Proserpine, Vulcan…

But the ephemeris of these hypothetical planets were all fanciful and had no scientific basis.

By no way we can use the asteroids in the asteroid belt like Ceres to complete the system, because all that is infrasaturnian must be kept within the traditional system. Logically and symbolically the new planets must be trans plutonian. I don’t mean of course that the asteroids are not useful, but not for that purpose.

I proposed to use Haumea and Makemake which are the two just transplutonian dwarf planets as the two missing pieces.

We then integrated these two planets into the astrological system in a logical and rational way, and  demonstrated by statistical methods the validity of this contribution.

We thus have new system that respect the rationale of the symbolism and is validated by statistics, with new rulerships, exaltations, joys, decans and triplicities, and we have safe ephemeris.

Traditional and integrative astrology adapts the tools of Hellenistic astrology within a new 12-planets system and gives a methodology validated by statistics to determine the planetary dominant and temperament.

Our approach with astrology

Our approach to astrology is essentially empirical, based on observation and statistics, and therapeutically oriented, i.e. how experimental data inferred and validated by statistics can be used in a therapeutic orientation.

At the base we arrived at astrology as part of our research on the application of Enneagram to constitutional homeopathy. We use all the symbolic and mythological data allowing us to better understand the psyche of the human being and apply it to our homeopathic practice, but also in the understanding of human relations in general and the behavioral medicine in particular (behavioral medicine studies the interaction of our behaviors with our health, and how behavioral change can improve health).

We found out about astrology that-what the elders called – Planetary dominant (in the birth natal chart) is statistically correlated to the constitutional type as defined in traditional Chinese, Ayurvedic or Hippocratic medicines.

Thus, the determination of the planetary dominant achieved using a particular software and algorithm gives a constitutional diagnostic tool to the traditional Chinese Ayurvedic or Hippocratic medicine practitioner, but also to the homeopath or the psychiatrist and the behavioral psychotherapist.

In this site we present the results of our work which include a revision of the astrological model and its link with the Systemic Typology Model that we have developed for a 20s years now.
